The Hellenic Community of Montreal
(HCM) has been established in 1906. It provides a wide range of educational, social, religious, cultural and athletic programs and services to Montrealers of Hellenic descent in the Greater Montreal Area. It operates a trilingual daily school system for about 2000 students from pre-K to elementary, model day-care centres, golden age homes and churches.
There are approximately 350,000 people of Greek origin across Canada of which 85,000 live in Montreal. A dynamic and entrepreneurial community with high purchasing power and more than 70 percent market share in the restaurant and food supply business, making it the top employer in Quebec.
