The Hellenic Community of Montreal will hold its annual Greek Festival at the charming venue of Parc Jean-Drapeau. This enjoyable park will be the setting for the 6th annual Hellenic Flame festival from August 8 to August 10.

This year’s theme will focus on Arcadia, the heart of the mountainous Peloponnese region. The Arcadians are believed to be the oldest inhabitants of the Peloponnese and have a rich culture of art and Greek traditions. The Hellenes from this area now living in Quebec bring with them the customs and have integrated them in their Quebec daily lives- this includes the dances and of course, the food.

The Hellenic Flame festival will highlight these traditions throughout the festival activities with a special treat and direct from Greek Arcadian region Clarinetist Kosta Kokkoris and singer Yiota Kokkoris who will serenade the crowd with the sounds from the Arcadian mountains on Saturday and Sunday.
